    Technology for Home Use

    The district is offering FREE internet connectivity and laptops for all students who need access beyond the school day. Please click on the link above to begin the process.  Ordering is highly recommended prior to August 20.  You will have to pick up the laptop at Lawrence Middle School, 10100 Variel Avenue, Chatsworth CA 91311.  Device pick up will be at Lawrence Middle School on August 20 from @8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Click on the link above for the flyer with this information.

    Lottery Information

    The Choices Late Application Window for the 2022-2023 opens Tuesday, February 1st at 8AM. Families that missed the on-time application window or would like to apply to additional programs are encouraged to apply!

    *Important Covid-19 Information* 

    Dear Lockhurst Families, 

    We are excited to welcome everyone back to school on Monday, August 15th. In preparation for the new school year, please review and follow the below COVID-19 protocols to help ensure the safest possible learning environment for all Los Angeles Unified students and employees. 

    It is recommended, but not required, for students to test within 48 hours of entering campus for the first day of school. Please note we are distributing rapid antigen tests to all students at our Meet and Greet event on Friday August 12th from 5:00pm-7:00pm and at the TK Kinder Playdate scheduled for Sunday, August 7th from 10:00am-11:00am. Antigen tests are also available for pick up in the main office daily from 9:00am to 3:00pm. These tests have varying expiration dates, however, they are authorized for use beyond their expiration date by the California Department of Public Health, see letter in English and Spanish.

     We recommend you administer the rapid test provided by your school within 48 hours of the first day of school. 

    Students who test NEGATIVE:

    • No further action is required
    • Do not upload to Daily Pass
    • Attend school

    Students who test POSITIVE:

    • Isolate immediately/ DO NOT attend school
    • Contact a doctor to make a plan for care, and
    • On a separate paper, write down the following information and take a picture.
    1. Full legal name,
    2. Date of birth,
    3. Test date, and
    4. “POSITIVE”

    For assistance with uploading test results, please contact the Family Help Desk at 213-443-1300, Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.  We look forward to your participation in our exciting school programs this year.

    Letter to Parents (Spanish) – Fall 2022


    Estimado padre, madre o tutor: 

    Estamos muy emocionados de darles a todos la bienvenida de regreso a la escuela el August 15th. En preparación para el nuevo año escolar, por favor revise y siga los siguientes protocolos de COVID-19 para ayudar a garantizar el ambiente de aprendizaje más seguro posible para todos los estudiantes y empleados del Distrito Unificado de Los Ángeles. 

    Estamos muy emocionados de comenzar el nuevo año escolar con ustedes. Se recomienda, pero no se requiere, que los estudiantes se hagan la prueba dentro de las 48 horas de entrar al plantel para el primer día de clases. Estamos distribuyendo pruebas rápidas de antígeno a todos los estudiantes entre el DATE y el DATE en LOCATION ON CAMPUS. Estas pruebas están aprobadas para su uso más allá de su fecha de vencimiento por el Departamento de Salud Pública de California, consulte la carta en English y en Español. 

    Le recomendamos que administre la prueba rápida proporcionada por su escuela dentro de las 48 horas del primer día de clases. 

    Los estudiantes que den NEGATIVO:

    • no se requiere ninguna acción adicional
    • No cargan el resultado en el Pase Diario
    • Asisten a la escuela


    Los estudiantes que den POSITIVO:

    • Deben aislarse inmediatamente/ NO asistir a la escuela.
    • Comunicarse con un médico para desarrollar un plan de atención, y
    • Escriba la siguiente información en un papel aparte y tome una foto.
    1. Nombre legal completo,
    2. Fecha de nacimiento,
    3. Fecha de la prueba, y
    4. "POSITIVO"
